Dan Sherman's Hypnotic Writing Style

The following is a post from ESMB by Jachs. He reportedly used a word count program on tapes by Ron Hubbard in Scientology and found Hubbard used certain words many, many times as part of an attempt to use repetition to persuade Scientologists with covert hypnosis.

He researched the methods Hubbard used and found many interesting methods of hypnosis, rhetoric and persuasion Hubbard attempted to use, perfect and combine together to enslave his victims.

I believe the subject is well worth exploring to see exactly what Hubbard was trying to do and to understand how Dianetics and Scientology influenced people. 

The quote below shows something interesting. Dan Sherman's writing style has several qualities in common with Hubbard's. Both use repetition, odd turns of phrases, contradiction, unusual words, rare terms that are intended to confuse, seemingly unnecessary use of multiple synonyms to confuse, vivid imagery, combining concepts that are not usually together, among other methods. 

The book Trances People Live describes much of hypnosis well, although it also contains a form of therapy which I do not recommend and see as having problems with transference issues that are unresolved. But the first eighty or so pages describe hypnotism quite well.

And now the word count Jachs reported in David Miscavige's speech. I believe the count and style of Dan Sherman if compared carefully with both Hubbard's writing style and the hypnosis methods he used clearly shows a horrifying but not surprising revelation: Dan Sherman is also a user of covert hypnosis and knowingly intends to mentally enslave people, in particular Scientologists.
