I think as someone who was in for 25 years and only came out a year ago and has learned truth since - that Scientology is a total fraud and terrorist mind control cult - I have a very similar perspective still fresh in my mind compared to some of the cult members who will come out .

So many exes , critics and press focus on hoping the film and the cult's PR blunders surrounding it will snowball into the prized target of loss of IRS tax exemption and US religious recognition .

That is seen as vital to allowing lawsuits and criminal prosecution for many , many crimes with the scores of murders via medical fraud as particularly damning . Scientology has killed possibly hundreds through a complex series of intentional deceptions to have people with treatable medical conditions like cancer try to "audit" BTs - 75 million year old alien spirits . In other words exorcise them telepathically .
And to use false statistics and fraudulent pseudoscience to portray this as consistently producing miracles - all while knowing full well it is a lie .

Even if the best case scenario( not most likely )happens and the cult crumbles ,loses all US assets , the Sea Org "elite" slave caste system is disbanded and all the orgs close there will still be tens of thousands of very confused ,exploited and vulnerable people dumped out with a tremendous need for help , honesty and most of all compassion .
I urge everyone to have patience and consideration for the utter shock and deep sense of failure they will have .Some will cult hop . Some will commit suicide .

I can tell you in coming out and learning that Ron Hubbard was no demigod but in fact a cruel madman and abuser who used mind control to impersonate a dark messiah and use , abuse,confuse , exploit and enslave his devoted followers that that experience is a complete total personal betrayal and mind crushing despair coupled with the heartbreaking realization that I personally helped a terrorist mind control cult to commit all of those crimes .

By labor , by money and by my words and actions like so many others I helped a great evil . While thinking all along I was better and more ethical and using that arrogance and narcissism to justify more behavior .

The others who come out will have to face that and while a small few should go to prison the vast majority should remain free and be helped to find the truth and a place to be safe and recover . I hope some of you will answer the call.
