Scientology:
the truth exposed
What if Scientology actually made TRUTHFUL infomercials?
The following series of videos comes from the YouTube channel XenuExposed. This collection of public service announcements parody the actual television commercials produced by the Church of Scientology. But the messages' falsehoods are replaced with the truth about the organization's disconnection of families, ruthless attacks against critics, false imprisonment, and other abusive practices.
The content in these videos speaks for itself, and you can easily verify it and learn more with your favorite internet search engine. Though some may find the material disturbing, these public service announcements outline only a handful of the many controversies surrounding Scientology.

For more in-depth details on Scientology's abusive practices, an excellent resource is Inside the Church of Scientology: The Truth Rundown, a series of investigative reports by Joe Childs and Thomas C. Tobin of the Tampa Bay Times.
Margery Wakefield on Scientology's Propaganda
Margery Wakefield is a former member of the Church of Scientology and an author of several critical books that take a revealing look at many of the controversies surrounding the organization's sordid history. Ms. Wakefield was an avid follower of Scientology for twelve years and sued the church in 1982 claiming breach of contract, fraud, false imprisonment and practicing medicine without a license. After receiving a $200,000 settlement for her lawsuit, she defied the gag order and commenced to speak out and write about the horrors she experienced.
In these two videos, Margery discusses how the Church of Scientology’s own propaganda is not what it seems. She explains that even though their lofty claims seem honorable, there are many contradictions within the Church's policies. In addition, Ms. Wakefield relays how their actual practices that greatly differ from what their moral codes portray.

A further analysis of Scientology’s propaganda by Ms. Wakefield, a former member and retired social worker, is also documented in her book Understanding Scientology. The relevant chapter is available online as The Propaganda of Scientology -- "Playing for Blood..." at the archives of research professor David Touretzky. In addition, she also exposes the fraud hidden within Dianetics in the same book under the chapter Dianetics -- May You Never Be the Same Again.

Chris Shelton is a former Church of Scientology Staff and Sea Org member who served the organization from the age of 17 to 43 years old. In the following series of educational videos, Chris explains the destructive nature of Scientology and covers the more serious controversies that surround his former church.
The topics covered include the corrupt organizational policies, Scientology's obsession with money, the suppressive person and fair game doctrines, attacks on free speech and the practice of disconnection. The series finishes with a rational argument for whether or not Scientology should be considered a cult.
