Questions About Scientology Part 1

Image result for questionsImage result for questions

Here are some questions on Scientology I have attempted to answer online in various forums gathered together . People are encouraged to ask more in comments or at ESMB or the Underground Bunker. I hope the format is easy to understand .

I am a never-in and I have a question. Are Scientologists (especially at the lower levels) existentialists... Does Scientology have a philosophical foundation of existentialism? (The belief that life is objectively empty and meaningless aside from the meaning that you create for yourself.)

Scientologists and Hubbard hold different views . He believed ideas best reflected in the affirmations , letter to his wife known as the "Skipper" letter and ideas generally not represented in Dianetics and Scientology.

Scientologists believe life holds absolute meaning .The further one progresses the more they believe that they are Gods with the current power to either regain Godhood or decline to a degraded state that is eternal blindness, amnesia , pain , self loathing and insanity. The state is considered too low to pick up a body.

Scientologists consider life to hold meaning - with absolute certainty. They have strong convictions and feel their beliefs account for every possibility and encompass all of life. Existentialism has elements in direct opposition to Scientology .

Off topic question but why do you think Miscavige in all the time since the release of OT VIII, didn't attempt to write himself (not likely) or have someone else write up some fake OT levels. It's not like Hubbard was responsible for writing all the OT material anyway. It seems like if people are in that deep they would believe just about anything. In all the research I've done on Scientology, this question still bugs me. The best I can think is that since OT VIII wasn't received well, he didn't want anyone to see it. Now instead of completely getting rid of the level, he just keeps everyone at OT VII except a select few for PR purposes. I do understand that there are other reasons for keeping people on VII, make a lot of money on those sec checks.

OT IX and X were promoted heavily as coming out when every class V org reached and maintained old Saint Hill size.

That has a long checklist that has varied but included two hundred full time staff and lots of students and auditing .You will never see it met . All the old guard Scientologists from the nineties and before remember that and would have to be disposed of quietly and without sorrow before that could be edited out without any fuss .
DM either has to get a hundred or so orgs with two hundred staff and a thousand or so dedicated public and about twenty five to forty thousand Sea Org members to run them and support them with books , CDs etc .

He would need to recruit one hundred and fifty thousand hard core Scientologists who all stay or R2-45 several thousand exes and current Scientilogists without raising any questions .

So , I think OT IX and X are permanently off the table.

When Hubbard died, or exteriorized, or whatever, weren't the faithful told that he was busily continuing his researches? And aren't they still actually waiting for him to come back? This part of the story has never made any sense to me. I mean really never made any sense. Are they still waiting for the return of Hubbard? Wouldn't New Hubbard keelhaul Miscavige?

We fanatics and zealots were told Hubbard had written up OT levels up to XV before departing to target two to give Scientology to another world .
We were told he realized just thinking of Earth was too small an order of magnitude for Scientology and beneath Hubbard's actual abilities.
In his grand magnanimity he sacrificed his chance to depart this universe and all its many traps to labor heroically and save another world out of his kindness and infinite generosity.
Now , I know it is all like the rest of Scientology bullshit.

So if his mind doesn't have enough brain cells to store his vast amount of info, where does he keep it? Mini-Storage? SMH
This guy is like Fox News. Frustrating and painfully inaccurate.

Hubbard claimed you have an electronic field around your body with millions of mental image pictures all through it .And that they made you crazy and he could free you from them .A con .

What do Scientologists think of critics ?

When you are in deep you consider all critics as crazy and look for inconsistencies - like the claim that Scientology is money obsessed - most staff and Sea Org think "You dumb fucks I don't make any damned money !!!" and by seeing that one criticism as obviously false they feel all the rest are also false .

You use your belief in the care free euphoric states auditing brings( with hypnosis , age regression and dissociation ) and the ecstasy and self hypnosis study tech brings as irrefutable proof of the miraculous technology you alone have ! In study tech you get confused via contradiction and have cognitive dissonance then have your mind taken off of it with the red herring misdirection of word clearing then in the moment of blankness the dissonance produces you get hypnotic commands from Hubbard implanted !

But he cleverly redefines all of this and tells you it makes you brilliant and able ! And as he redefines what experiences mean you come to accept it more and more , and he implants fallacies over and over to impair your reason more and contradicts himself over and over tying your mind up in the double think until it becomes a confused jumble in double binds - solved by submitting your will to his further and further .

Scientologists think and talk alike because their thoughts are just parroting Hubbard's doctrine as they become mental clones of him .
That is why they have meaningless circular nonsense conversations - in submission to him that is what is left in their minds . And they cannot even see it .

What is the end goal of Scientology for the individual Scientologist and if  you guys do not know and believe the Xenu story what do you believe ?

I was indoctrinated around when OT VIII came out .The completions talked in a different way and we lowly folks who had not done the advanced levels mimicked them to pretend status .
In some of the doctrine , like SOS and the factors Hubbard uses a lie that resembles certain gnostic ideas . In it his thetans long ago were much more powerful and capable . They did not need bodies and could affect reality by will alone . The fraud goes on to say thetans have eternal infinite power and potential knowledge .

As you get more of it the entire physical universe including time is described as illusion in the minds of thetans who came to play a game .

The idea he sells is that you personally were and are still a god with a capital G of your own universe .

Like the monotheist's idea of a creator who can make or destroy or influence ANYTHING within your universe.

In theory in the con you came through several universes , got confused , lost power by doubting yourself and lowered yourself to be vulnerable by your own gradual decisions over hundreds of quadrillions of years .

From BEING the eighth dynamic to being less and the seventh then the sixth then the fifth then the fourth then the third and second then down to running one body for one life .

It is seen as a dwindling spiral or series of concentric circles that collapse as a being fails at one they withdraw to the next and eventually have withdrawn to nothing . In this model the thetan became human and vulnerable to human suffering from killing countless trillions as it blew up planets in space opera .

It is seen as having the next stop being permanent eternal amnesia, blindness, deafness , pain and self loathing with no end . That is the lie Hubbard sold . He claimed to restore the full God status at the end of the bridge . I am not exaggerating one bit . In several references he claimed you could restore your full abilities and entirely escape this universe and all of its liabilities forever with Scientology .

Carl Sagan may have considered that an extraordinary claim .

Sunk Cost - Crushing Gravity Of Scientology

Sunk cost is a kind of appeal to emotion - relief from cognitive dissonance . When you have sunk so much of your identity or worth or ego into an idea turning back is overwhelming and disorienting - that is cognitive dissonance .

I know as a 25 year Scientologist who did a great deal of harm to relationships while using the "rightness and certainty " of Scientology as a way to deny responsibility. For many of us harm done to ourselves , immediate family and friends and careers and other cult members comes to mind as something to be willing to face to overcome the overwhelming bias sunk cost accumulates over time . Sunk cost is flanked and bolstered by habituation - the more we do things the more we tend to do them again without question or thought . Together they often enable permanent divorce from reason and critical and independent thought regarding topics . Hubbard depended on this , as does DM .

Sunk cost and habituation rely on similar but not identical factors . Sunk cost is similar psychologically to gravity as a physical force . Gravity is an accumulative force - that is to say concentrating more mass in a smaller space makes gravity grow stronger in local effect . It overwhelms the other forces at some point despite being many , many times weaker than them . That is how stars collapse to neutron stars as the atomic structure is crushed , them even the neutrons are crushed as their integrity fails .

Similarly enough sunk cost stops consideration of contradictory evidence . Some atheists would say the sunk cost of the indoctrination children receive and their identity and that of their families as Christians prohibits them considering evidence the bible and Christianity are possibly less than perfect . But that is a fight for the Dawkins of the world - I am unqualified to discuss God . I don't know what she is like .

Regarding Scientology for me once I had enough hypnotic experiences in the course room I let Hubbard define as mental and mystical ones I was so fooled the accumulative effect of the other persuasive methods just compounded and compounded to overwhelm all reason quite well and grow for decades .

Hubbard's trap is set to grow subtly at first then via key experiences lower your guard permanently bit by bit ( often the crucial experience is hypnotic but defined differently by Hubbard ) and then be like a star that grows from , say a disc that settles in some theories , . Via confirmation bias the Scientologist only seeks to confirm Hubbard's rightness and dismisses any evidence that contradicts him .

And it is easy - he says critics are always liars and SPs so by SEEING them, as such their information is swept aside without examination and their criticism is seen as proof of Hubbard's rightness !

That is similar to the idea of the settling star reaching a magnitude of size where comets and other bodies that could disrupt it are instead vacuumed in and add to its mass and gravity as they are too small to break up the star . The growth is increased and the chance of matter escaping decreases .

Then with the mind well closed the Scientologist sees all info as either confirming Scientology or irrelevant ( this includes things denied or dissociated from ) or affirming Scientology by showing the Scientologist they need to learn more Scientology to make sense of them and biased toward that end . This is similar to the transference issue in therapy. When a patient in many forms of mental therapy has little or no trust many forms of therapy produce no change. When the therapist gains trust and the patient starts trusting the therapist's mind more than their own and treats the therapist as infallible that makes the patient too submissive and the the therapist too influential. No one over about twelve years old should be in that dependent state . Therapy is harmful in this relationship.

Hubbard cleverly made it seem that you needed to do the entire bridge ( both sides bottom to top ) and all Sea Org training and then listen to his lectures and read all his writings then...pretty tough with a reported thirty five million words of doctrine to do a quick study brush up on to be qualified to have an educated opinion and conversation on Scientology !

Any unresolved problems ONLY require that before you are seen as having given Scientology " a fair try " !

So , back to the star analogy the Scientologist is so close minded they are like the star in allowing very little to influence them or knock them off their course as the gravity grows with the star it becomes a more influential and difficult to influence force of nature .

Especially if it is concentrated to the neutron star and then black hole levels of density . It is an example of one force overwhelming the others and losing balance . Similarly the Scientologist can have the sunk cost and accompanying psychological defense mechanisms including fallacies overwhelm any balance of reason within their mind . What is true is what is true for you cancels all other views but Hubbard made sure his view covertly replaced yours along the way . Slavery has been defined as letting another decide reality for you and Hubbard certainly fits that description perfectly .

. Fortunately unlike a star that transforms into a black hole due to its immense localized gravity a Scientologist can escape the cult mindset even after decades of concentrated reinforcement and bolstering - we leave everyday . But , we can be quite dense in our close minded and arrogant defense of Scientology .

Why So Many Semicolons In Science Of Survival ?

Recently the story of how Hubbard had a ghost writer transcribe Science of Survival and contribute to its creation came up on the Underground Bunker with accompanying details .

Oh , here the semicolon removal issue has been brought up again . DM famously said Science of Survival had three thousand , eight hundred and twenty five punctuation " errors " that went totally unnoticed by Hubbard despite his personally supervising students and auditors and CSing for decades .

Look , SOS was written with a horrible mash up of rhetorical techniques to overwhelm and confuse readers . If you study rhetoric and hypnotic writing techniques and methods of hypnotic induction it can become clear what methods Hubbard tried to stack or combine in creating this monument to pseudoscience and incomprehensibility. I know Hubbard used a ghostwriter but the final product has these methods laid down throughout the entire book.

In particular Hubbard used complex and confusing terms , information overload , new and vague terms , contradictory and vague statements , outrageous and unbelievable statements and other basic methods to make an audience more suggestible. Now these methods are only partially effective on some people on the most effective and efficient of attempts . They only work to a limited degree .You can only fool or significantly influence a small percentage of people with this . But that has been thought to be capable of being dramatically improved with the most basic and powerful of persuasive methods : repetition.

Hubbard in SOS sought to combine the persuasive methods of confusion aka paradox , repetition , attention control via focus or division and mimicry . These were all the most basic forms of his beloved subject hypnosis.

In constructing SOS it is an attempt or experiment in my opinion in combining the confusion method from conversational hypnosis and loaded language to covertly influence and tons of vague and complex terms to further confuse and scientific sounding new terms mixed with many , many medical terms to seem scientific with no substance . Hubbard combined the fasle tone scale , the plagiarized theta mest theory to use sublime writing , repackaged Nazism and his other stolen and hidden ideas to try to ambitiously pound a superconcentrated combination of rhetorical techniques.

Humorously SOS flopped and has never caught on despite being promoted as the backbone of the science in Scientology for decades and even required on courses like the heavily promoted PTS/ SP course.

My opinion is Hubbard succeeded far too well in confusing readers - by far , far too much overload of confusion technique he just confused them without persuading them . That can happen if you overdo it and he certainly did by a mile .

He unfortunately got better at this by the advent of study tech and learned a better recipe for thought reform by then . He had been stealing ideas and trying things and with study tech he knew that could covertly do the job.

But the point of this whole trip down hypnotic and rhetorical memory lane is this : Hubbard knew semicolons divide attention between one part of a sentence and the next . Attention division with semicolon after semicolon was meant to increase suggestibility .

It may seem absurd but that was Hubbard's intent . He wanted you to read a sentence see a semicolon - think what follows elaborates on what you just read and so keep a little attention on the earlier statement . And by doing this hundreds of times Hubbard sought to knock out your critical and independent thought regarding the material you were reading.

So , in my opinion the semicolons were intentional and ineffective in persuading people. So DM can stop blaming a "transcription error" on some scapegoat.

Scientologists Equating Scientology To Jews And Critics To Nazis

This thread is to ask for and highlight info on a particularly loathsome and offensive tactic Scientology management and celebrities have been doing for decades . Many times in the past Heber Jentzsch has been noted for attempting to forge a bond of identity between Scientology as a persecuted minority and specifically as Jews facing a Holocaust from critics and enemies who he puts in the role of Nazis .

Further , Scientologists have made a point of dressing as Nazis to protest being persecuted as Jews equals on several occasions . Scientologists dressed as Nazis to protest in 1979 and again in 1997. This is an action encouraged and supported by the management of Scientology .

There is an excellent article on this for reference .
Wooing the Jews | Scientology Racism - Solitary Trees
I am going to quote portions of that here for brevity .

When German Chancellor Helmut Kohl visited Australia in July 1997, he was greeted by jeering Scientologists in Nazi-style uniforms with swastika armbands. They confronted him with placards reading "Hands Off Our Religion" and "Is Germany Really A Free Country?"

The Church of Scientology in Germany has, for years, linked itself with the treatment of the Jews under Hitler, claiming the shared experience of persecution.

Though church President Rev. Heber Jentzsch says Scientology's comparison of its treatment in Germany to that of the German Jews under the Nazis has officially stopped because of objections from Jewish leaders, the theme still threads through Scientology publicity.
The comparison with Nazi Germany has irked not only mainstream Jewish organizations but also high officials of both the U.S. and German governments as well, who call it an insult to all Holocaust victims.

Scientology's anti-Germany campaign appears to have backfired. Intensifying in 1994 with
full-page newspaper ads using images from the Holocaust and continuing into late 1996 with a letter to Kohl from Hollywood celebrities in the International Herald Tribune, Scientology made more enemies than friends.
Abraham Foxman, national director of the Anti-Defamation League of B'nai B'rith, called the ads a "trivialization of the Holocaust." U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright termed the comparison "historically inaccurate and totally distasteful," and even former State Department spokesman Nicholas Burns, whose agency has criticized Germany's treatment of Scientologists, called the assertions "outrageous."

As for the "Never Again" campaign, Jentzsch says it was stopped more than a year ago, and he called the Australian demonstration an aberration. "We made a mistake early on by making this comparison. It was offensive to the Jewish people." He says some rabbis agreed to back him on the discrimination issue, but that they also told him, "'You have to understand how we feel with anything that deals with something so horrific as the Holocaust.'"
So the campaign stopped, but that doesn't mean the Church of Scientology has stopped trying to win the support of Jews.

Jentzsch declined to name other Jewish supporters, saying they "are afraid of entering the fray and I understand." But, "frankly, I have had a top Jewish scholar say to me, 'This is the beginning of an attempt to destroy rights, and that is a danger signal. Pray God,' he said, 'it would never turn into the Holocaust.'"
end quote

Now , I want to point out that Heber "being permanently tortured so I can never threaten DM " Jentzsch played a trick - he agreed to stop comparing Scientologists to Jews during the Holocaust and then quoted an unnamed source as saying exactly what he just promised to stop saying !

He found a loophole to say exactly what he said he would not ! He went with the "everybody , or an authority says " generality !

Further , aside from the official equating of Scientologists to Jews and enemies to Nazis  - Scientology also equates psychs to Nazis by stating they are behind the Holocaust in numerous ways . They have a Psychiatry an Industry of Death Museum to sell the lie that psychiatry is behind the Holocaust .

And now in more recent years Scientology has public celebrities always strive to answer any negative questions with an evasion and equating Scientology to Jews and enemies to Nazis . ALWAYS . It is what they are told to say by Sea Org members and staff .

Kirstie Alley has done it . Danny Masterson has done it . Jenna Elfman has done it . Bodhi Elfman has done it . Danny Masterson did it in an interview in Papermag http://www.papermag.com/2015/02/danny_masterson_scientology.php . Bodhi Elfman did it in a famous tweet .

I am looking for any and all references to times celebrities and/or cult spokespeople have made the claim . ALL . 100% . I want to know every time , place , form and event down to the last detail .

To expose this as a planned coordinated effort to do one thing : Hide the Nazi components Hubbard placed covertly in Scientology by making it appear absurd and protected by the personal incredulity fallacy . If a fact is the exact opposite of what a person has heard over and over time and again perceiving that fact or even examining evidence of it is often blocked in people's minds . That is why Scientology must at every opportunity have the image of being identical to the Jews as victims of Holocaust persecution . The image makes realizing the truth almost impossible for Scientologists and very often for others as well .

Please , please share any additional information you have on this particularly documented incidents with newspaper articles and interviews that can be confirmed . I want to compile the most iron clad case possible . When exposing Nazism one faces several obstacles . First , the personal incredulity fallacy . People simply have a hard time believing things that are not overtly dressed in swastikas and praising Hitler openly are based on Nazism .

An appeal to emotion also stands in the way - disgust . Many find thinking of Nazis disgusting and unpleasant - solution any complex examination or discussion is avoided by simply saying " leave that ugly business in the past " . And an appeal to another emotion - the sense of progress - some people often think of mankind as progressing past evil conduct like rape , genocide , child molestation , slavery and discrimination . That is a pleasant idea - and demonstrably untrue . Sometimes children when hearing of the genocide of Native Americans and slavery of Africans brought to the US say "that kind of stuff doesn't happen now" . As if mankind as a whole has grown well past that . But it is not true . There are reportedly tens of millions living in slavery . Genocide is a daily fact of life on earth . Rape happens to millions of women and children every year .

The point of this is not to get you to put a gun in your mouth or hang yourself - it is to show how the idea that the world is nice and people are generally pleasant is more enjoyable than the alternative so many just pick the belief that feels better . Now the earlier statistics I mentioned need to be taken in the perspective that there are multi-billions of people who never rape anyone or enslave anyone or commit major crimes and try to be decent for their whole lives pretty successfully .

But I want to gather any information to help support the exposure of the trend I see of Scientology using the 180 degree lie of being the victims of Nazis to hide their cult being modeled after the Nazis . Please share anything that can help with this effort here .

An Open Letter To Leah Remini

 Image result for leah remini

Tough question coming up and I don't know who will ask or how but I feel it needs to be faced at some point : For the wealthy and famous Scientologists who leave and realize the cult is actually a harmful group , and the tech is actually a fraud with no benefit - how do they feel when they realize the intelligence / abuse / legal protection / criminal organization is actually entirely financially dependent on the mountains of money they donated to continue ? I see a cult as primarily needing slaves , but Scientology has a two pronged assault on society in my mind using slaves and financial resources to establish and continue its survival .

Without the resources to fight endlessly in court and take on governments and fight the IRS to a draw it would be playing a very different game of running to countries until it is kicked out .

I feel Leah Remini is a good person to start with ( if she is willing to discuss this - and like myself sees Scientology as harmful ) as I have no ill will toward her and frankly she is very easy for lots of people to be sympathetic toward because of her obvious beauty but more than that she comes across as someone who genuinely thought the tech and Sea Org were not corrupt .

In asking about DM's wife and then writing the report she shows a person who is not denying all of the evil she sees in blind obedience so we can see some goodness in her . Yeah , lots of guys get semi-crushes or whatever cause she's real purty ( I love my wife , I love my wife ) - but the important thing to me is lots of little things like reporting DM , asking about Shelly , expressing regret over time lost with her kids etc. .

These things humanize her in a way Grant Cardone would have a very hard time matching - if he ever woke up and left the cult . Or Tommy Davis etc..

So , if she were ever comfortable I would love to see an in depth interview with her with all of these issues addressed . Obviously Tony Ortega would be my first pick as he is the pro journalist best informed and qualified in my opinion . If you somehow read this Leah it would be a great help for lots of us to see what you think and feel about Scientology and unfortunately having financed the cult's terrorist activities . I do not want to upset anyone but I think we should be honest with each other - when we are ready and comfortable .

There are aspects of my past I discuss with very few people or no one and that is my right - Leah Remini and other exes also have the same right . Just because she is beautiful , rich and famous does not change that .

Miscavige And Hubbard : Contrasting Evils

Image result for david miscavigeImage result for david miscavige

David "Let Him Die" Miscavige is plainly a...special person .He has no conscience , but an inordinate amount of rage and self importance. He has shown aspects of the narcissism and antisocial personality disorder Hubbard famously demonstrated for our study and observation.

I cannot personally call Miscavige a particular term with the same clarity and certainty as I do Hubbard but I feel tremendous confidence that he is also a disordered person .

That's to say he displays extreme, chronic and severe aspects of a certain type of behaviors. I feel comfortable in saying one could narrow down his conduct to fitting a small group of disorders .I would say narcissistic personality disorder or antisocial personality disorder or the combination of both together malignant narcissism .I personally feel Hubbard had malignant narcissism ( or would also accept the subgroup within malignant narcissism of traumatic narcissism for the detail oriented).
So, the interesting thing my mind about Miscavige as a person with any of the above disorders is they all have common qualities and all adequately explain his past behaviors and current choices.

He though 0% a believer in Scientology in my opinion through his mindset from his disorder or psychopathology has a personality set to use and desire many of the same methods Hubbard's similar disorder ( malignant narcissism ) predisposed him toward.Simply they in mind are quite similar - although so severely disordered compared to most people as to seem bizarre and even alien to humans in morality and emotions.

Their minds share these two fundamental and defining qualities - being so alike that Miscavige has a custom built doctrine and methodology left by Hubbard that suits and even gratifies him with very little tweaking needed. And that both are so far off from normal humans that they can seem inscrutable without a thorough understanding of both their hidden conduct and character and the minds of narcissists, sociopaths ( people with antisocial personality disorder) and malignant narcissists. And in this case the history of Dianetics and Scientology and its stated and actual effects .

In my opinion if you strip down Scientology enough and Hubbard himself then Miscavige is a relatively easy piece to analyze at the end.Hubbard is in some ways far easier to analyze as an ex Scientologist can often recall thousands of Hubbard statements nearly verbatim from their Scientology indoctrination. And much of his life and conduct is recorded in great detail. Obviously there is the initial obstacle of Hubbard's pathological lying and the tremendously complex and intentionally difficult to disentangle mountain of contradiction and misdirection in Scientology itself to take apart to even find out what he was doing and trying to do to understand him.
So to me Hubbard and Scientology are the essential keys to understanding Miscavige. That he chooses to practice constant lying as a fundamental PR and control method is consistent with my concepts of him.

That he also incorporates misdirection via the ideal orgs and ideal Narconons to fool the remaining cult members and cater to and target the endangered whales also fits this . He obviously is quite aware of Scientology's tremendous decline in members, repute , delivery and profitability . Other than Flag and the inexorable juggernaut of the straight donations programs it's widely reported that Scientology is no longer a profitable business.

With this in perspective Miscavige's choices to lie so audaciously to both his victims at the international events and the outside world through his flying monkeys gain a striking contrast. The predictability and consistency of his conduct is so great it becomes intellectually flat and dull. But the reality of the abuses and crimes he commits and hides under the cover of these lies makes the disgust at Miscavige and sympathy for Scientology's victims reach almost overwhelming levels . A bizarre juxtaposition .

Implausible Denial

LRHSeaOrg

The following post is a comment addressing the Sea Org's legal double speak and legal actions to avoid legal responsibility while retaining legal power to control the Scinetology cult and the income the cult's organizations generate.

All of the legal misdirection and deception and double think is intended to make a permanent situation of never ending circular self contradictory implausible denial . Between loopholes and first amendment protections and corporations having special protections and the never ending Scientology doctrine and directives it is meant to be impossible to pin down and make head or tail of intentionally.

This is meant to support a key concept that serves Miscavige's own intentions .
"Somebody some day will say ‘this is illegal.’ By then be sure the orgs [Scientology organizations] say what is legal or not."
Ron Hubbard, Hubbard Communications Office Policy Letter, 4 January 1966, "LRH Relationship to Orgs"

Life bleeds. It suffers. It hungers. And it has to have the right to shoot its enemies until such time as comes a golden age. The Responsibilities of Leaders Ron Hubbard
…the foremost law, if one’s ambition is to win, is of course to win the Liar Ron Hubbard, Hubbard Communications Office Policy Letter, 12 February 1967, "The Responsibilities of Leaders"

Hubbard wanted Scientology to be outside of or even better be the legal authorities . By saying in some complex way that Scientology groups exist and do not for legal responsibility Miscavige wants to alternate iron-fisted autocratic absolute authority within Scientology and zero accountability to outside actual legal authorities .

He wants to play daddy while the grown ups are away then throw someone else under the bus when mommy and daddy come home and find things a mess. The control of Scientology and all of the income ? Yeah , he'll take that . The legal responsibility for dead people from Narconon and the rampant longstanding medical fraud and other abuses in the cult ? Oh , the dog ate my homework . He is a psychopath and wants power with no accountability .

I think something worth noting is the promo above has the phrase " For every Sea Org member making things go right, there are one million human beings who don't even know what right is. Our greatest challenges lie just ahead. "

Hubbard pushed the elitism and black and white delineation to the utmost by the Sea Org promotion of being actually above and separate from humanity . The Sea Org members are indoctrinated over and over to see the entire rest of humanity as kind of mindless zombies wandering in a deluded daze with no clue what is going on . They see the rest of humanity as sheep blindly marching toward oblivion and that any actions are warranted to control us until we wake up . They see life as like the matrix and any lies or crimes done to individual non Sea Org members are justified for the greatest good .

Their overwhelming sense of intellectual superiority and awareness knocks out any consideration or acceptance of ideas from others .

'Safeguarding Technology' of 1965: "People have following the route mixed up with 'the right to have their own ideas'. Anyone is certainly entitled to have opinions and ideas and cognitions - so long as these do not bar the route out for self and others."
Man is caught in a huge and complex labyrinth. To get out of it requires that he follow the closely taped path of Scientology. Scientology will take him out of the labyrinth. But only if he follows the exact markings in the tunnels.

It has taken me a third of a century in this lifetime to tape this route out.It has been proven that efforts by Man to find different routes came to nothing. It is also a clear fact that the route called Scientology does lead out of the labyrinth. HCO POLICY LETTER OF 14 FEBRUARY 1965SAFEGUARDING TECHNOLOGY Ron Hubbard

This idea of being the only ones aware , awake and even sane with the only method to be free and free others gives Scientologists and in particular Sea Org members the mindset of zealous fanatics with all of the horrifying consequences that implies . Further Hubbard used the deepest most primal instincts to reinforce this : fear .

As human beings we experience and are driven by many drives . Sex , hunger , affection , pleasure , comfort , safety , to name a few . But the way we are set up has fear on a deep survival defining level override the others . How can I say this ? Okay , picture a primitive ancestor of ours going through some tall grasses long ago and he or she is thinking about their family or tribe and food and getting some water and rest and the grasses start moving and some sounds start nearby . The life of that primitive human is possibly in immediate fatal danger - THAT is the highest priority for attention .
That instinct has been honed over countless thousands of years to be the strongest survival instinct . If a person now feels deep betrayal and the sense that someone they totally trusted is in fact evil and capable of anything the mind locks onto that threat and it can push out everything else .

That is part of why we need to feel secure in our relationships and jobs and like we are stable in life . Fear can divert and focus attention and create anxiety as the mind is pushed to resolve it . With anxiety comes desperation and with desperation comes a focus without fine distinctions . Vulnerability to persuasion and suggestibility by a source - particularly one that remains trusted despite heightened or even overwhelming fear - can rise in direct proportion to the fear we experience .
And Hubbard knew this and gave us plenty to fear .

His words -
We're not playing some minor game in Scientology. It isn't cute or something to do for lack of something better.
The whole agonized future of this planet, every Man, Woman and Child on it, and your own destiny for the next endless trillions of years depend on what you do here and now with and in Scientology.

This is a deadly serious activity. And if we miss getting out of the trap now, we may never again have another chance.Remember, this is our first chance to do so in all the endless trillions of years of the past.
HCO POLICY LETTER OF 7 FEBRUARY 1965 KEEPING SCIENTOLOGY WORKING Ron Hubbard

Hubbard repeatedly taught his followers that only clears and OTs will survive earth and that if one fails to go up his bridge they will degrade to a state with total and permanent amnesia and blindness and deafness in constant unending pain that he describes as much more severe than earlier concepts of hell - with no release ever possible by any means . He described this state as lacking a body and so being beyond any intervention by others . He further told Scientologists that by knowing about the danger they would be responsible for the fate of all of humanity if it was not handled immediately .

Now , don't get me wrong I do not think Miscavige believes a word of Scientology , but he uses it to control the cult members who do . He cannot control outsiders in the same way for a variety of reasons . That the cult member is meant to wander around going from trance state to trance state guided by the emotions and thoughts Hubbard implanted and exhibiting the behaviors Hubbard encouraged gives Miscavige tremendous power over the slaves . The ones who recognize his authority as Hubbard's proxy .

When we ( cult members ) all too often wake up to see a possible flaw in Miscavige he can rapidly fall in persuasive power and many - possibly most - of us then look outside the cult and in time throw off Hubbard's grip to a degree as well . I personally believe nothing he said , not a word of it .I find no benefit in any of his technology . NOTHING .
I hope the close minded fundamentalist fanatical extremism that is required in the Sea Org is focused on and exposed . It actually exists - no matter what linguistic hoops the cult jumps through .
